I began formal journaling when I moved to Colorado in 1991. I have notebooks and journals that fill a drawer in a desk containing thoughts and observations over the past 25 years. In 2003 I began an online journal of my exploits while living abroad. A friend helped to maintain the website for me while I was gone. When I returned home the Blog had been invented. Little did I know I was ahead of my time. At points I have had nothing of interest to note and my journals remained dormant. Quite often, a crisis or major crossroads in my life would prompt me to sit down and journal once more, most of it being rambling reflections.
I’ve come to enjoy going outdoors, striving to notice something extraordinary that exists amongst what seems very ordinary. The exploration continues as I come home, relive the experience and create my own narrative.
