I began formal journaling when I moved to Colorado in 1991. I have notebooks and journals that fill a drawer in a desk containing thoughts and observations over the past 25 years. In 2003 I began an online journal of my exploits while living abroad. A friend helped to maintain the website for me while I was gone. When I returned home the Blog had been invented. Little did I know I was ahead of my time. At points I have had nothing of interest to note and my journals remained dormant. Quite often, a crisis or major crossroads in my life would prompt me to sit down and journal once more. Most of it being rambling reflections.
I decided to begin a formal project spanning 52 weeks over the course of 2017. Each week I will go somewhere outside, sit down or perhaps stand, and observe what is around me for one hour. This site is a place to record those observations publicly through words and photos.
