Learning and Growing on the Fly.

Behind this door is a woman working. She is creating online learning for high school students. The learning curve is steep for a 57-year-old two years away from retirement.

I, who work at home, have been told that I sing to myself, interact with Alexa, whistle and talk to myself. A lot.

Establishing new boundaries, creating work, recreation, exercise and relaxation areas within our home has helped us to continue to love each other.

It’s taken a couple weeks to figure this out. I worry about building tension in families that are suddenly spending a lot of time together. Who are these people that now are in my space so much of the time?

Establishing clear communication and exercising patience, compassion and grace go a long way in growing during this time. I’m grateful for an understanding partner.
